WikiCollegiate Sidekick
From WikiCollegiate
A WikiCollegiate Sidekick is a champion -- a volunteer who helps create and build pages and encourages others to be active in contributing and collaborating.
[edit] WikiCollegiate Sidekick Opportunity
- Spread the Word. Make sure everyone in your college, research or academic community knows about WikiCollegiate, and how to use it. Be creative. Put up posters, tell friends, tell club groups, talk to the press, create a page for your dormitory or apartment building and encourage people to post notices and share information. You know best how to connect with your community. And we'll help!
- Share with Abandon. Post club notes, data sets, documents to share with club members, outlines for research papers, and contribute to and benefit from the contributions of others. If we all give more than we receive, the community benefits and so will you.
- Create Pages. Create pages on topics that interest you and ask others with similar interests to contribute what they know. Ask a question or create a guide and ask others to suggest answers and solutions. Use the "Send Friend" button to send a page to a friend and ask her to add what she knows (e.g., Top 20 best and worst restrooms on campus, Top 10 places to study, Tips and advice for surviving freshman year, Guide to best and worst dorm rooms on campus). What you and your community knows is knowledge - create pages to capture and share it.
- Send Feeback. Let us know about your experience as a WikiCollegiate Sidekick and user. You're our sidekick - we listen to you, and do our best to help.
- You're in the Driver's Seat. At most, we'll only have a handful of ambassadors in your town or college. You'll really be in charge of the whole area. We know you can do it. We're counting on you.
