From the Reunion Chairs
March 2008
Dear Esteemed Member of the Yale College Class of 1998,
Ten years ago at this time, we were in the throes of our last semester at Yale, anxious to complete those papers and problem sets, anticipating the endless questions from relatives as to what we would be doing after graduation. During those long and exhausting hours spent in CCL's Weenie Bins, could we ever have imagined that our 10th Reunion would come upon us so quickly? Yet here we are, mere weeks away from meeting, once again, on our beloved Old Campus, and celebrating friends made and successes attained.
With ample support from our Association of Yale Alumni, we are putting together for the weekend of June 5 - 8th a series of parties, dinners, toasts, seminars, and lectures that will serve to remind you of why you went to Yale in the first place, and why leaving it at graduation was so bittersweet.
As you may have gleaned from our Yale 98 YouTube video, Facebook group, website, and blog, the Class of 1998 is already making its mark in the long history of Yale College classes. What we need now is for you to join us on the weekend of June 5 - 8th, as we break all records for 10th Reunion attendance and spirit.
To this end, please complete your registration by clicking on the "Coming to Reunion?" link. If the cost of participating in the Reunion is an issue for you, then know that the AYA offers financial assistance on a confidential, first-come, first-serve basis. Our AYA liaison, Karen Jahn, can help with these and related matters; you may reach her at 203-432-1954.
In this, our year of reconnection, we hope that the Reunion will not only help to reacquaint you with lost friends, but will also prove the ideal setting in which to meet classmates whom you never knew. Come back to New Haven this June and raise a glass to the Class of '98, for what its members have already accomplished, and for the years ahead.
Sincerely yours,
Daryl Jones, PC '98
Ty Reynaga, BR '98
Reggie Solomon, ES '98
